The newly created role will bring together key areas of Atmos’ business across development, commercial and delivery, providing increased executive support as the company drives multiple late-stage developments towards financial close and construction.

Jonathan Spink has been appointed to the role and will join Atmos in July 2026, reporting to the Atmos Renewables CEO Nigel Baker.

Atmos currently has ownership interests in more than 1.9GW of operating and in-construction wind, solar and battery storage assets across 18 projects, alongside a significant development pipeline of wind, solar and battery projects across Australia.

Atmos Renewables CEO Nigel Baker said the new role reflected the continued evolution of the business.

“Atmos has grown significantly in recent years, and our leadership structure is evolving to reflect the scale of the business today and for the opportunities ahead,”

“The creation of the Chief Origination & Delivery Officer role is an important step in that evolution. A significant number of our projects are at or moving towards the latter stages of development and into construction, so it’s important we have the leadership capabilities in place to support the major investments we have ahead of us.”

Jonathan brings more than 20 years’ experience in renewable energy, infrastructure and major project development, as well as senior executive leadership experience in complex international markets.

He joins Atmos from Copenhagen Offshore Partners, where he was CEO of the company’s offshore wind business in South Korea, as well as CEO for the Haewoori Floating Offshore Wind and Taean Wind Power projects. Prior to that, Jonathan held senior roles at Pacific Hydro Australia and Jemena.

“As more projects move towards construction, Jonathan’s appointment is timely as a leader who understands both development and delivery. Jonathan brings that experience and will help ensure we continue to develop and execute quality projects, and in a safe and efficient manner.

“His experience speaks for itself, he has a strong track record in developing and delivering large-scale renewable energy projects, and he understands what it takes to move major projects from development through to delivery,” Nigel said.

Jonathan said he was looking forward to joining Atmos at an important stage in the company’s development.

“Atmos has built a strong platform, a significant portfolio of renewable energy projects, and has established itself in a leading developer position in the market,” Spink said.

“I’m excited to be joining the business as it enters its next phase, with significant development projects transitioning into construction. I look forward to working with Nigel and the broader Atmos team to lead the successful development and delivery of projects across the portfolio ensuring they are done safely and meet the expectations of our shareholders and stakeholders in the regions.”
