Atmos Renewables Completes the Acquisition of Elliot Green Power

Atmos Renewables has completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in Elliott Green Power Australia (EGP).

The 302MW capacity operational portfolio consists of the Childers (75MW), Susan River (95MW) and Nevertire (132MW) solar farms, and is expected to generate approximately 500GWh of energy annually, powering over 100,000 homes and displacing 475,000 tonnes of CO2.

Daniel Timms, Director of Atmos Renewables, said the acquisition positions Atmos Renewables as the fourth-largest owner of operating renewable energy assets in Australia.

EGP’s operating assets reached full export capacity in 2019 and 2020 and have long-term offtake agreements in place for energy and green certificates with investment-grade counterparties.

Operation and maintenance of the plants is provided by global technical services firms under long-term agreements.

The portfolio also includes well-advanced co-located battery projects with a total capacity of 125MW / 250MWh at the three operating solar farms. Construction of the two Queensland battery projects is expected to begin in 2022.

The highly-experienced EGP team has integrated into Atmos Renewables and will continue to manage the asset portfolio as well as deliver on the battery projects in development.

“This marks the fourth successful acquisition by Atmos Renewables since its establishment in 2020. The acquisition of Elliott Green Power delivers on our objective of creating a leading Australian renewable energy platform with internal management capability” Mr Timms said.
