Cherry Tree Wind Farm 2023 Community Fund Closing Soon

Cherry Tree Wind (CTWF) Farm invites applications from locally run community organisations, not-for-profits and community projects based within 15km of Cherry Tree Wind Farm to apply for a share in grant funding of up to $25,000 for the 2023 Community Benefit Fund. Applications opened on Monday 31 July 2023.

The Community Benefit Fund is designed to provide support for projects that bring people together, build community capacity and that shares the value of the project throughout the local area, in a way that really matters.

The Fund is open to a range of community purposes and needs including health and social welfare, safety, environmental, educational, youth projects, sport and recreation, culture, the arts and economic development.

CTWF is looking to support a number of projects, so applicants are encouraged to consider this when submitting an application. In general, preference will be given to applications of less than $5,000 (but the project will consider applications up to $10,000) this is to encourage a greater diversity of funding.

Applications will be assessed based on their ability to address the selection criteria as well as the perceived benefit to the local community. General selection criteria may include project benefits, community need, availability of funding and project/program viability and will only be accepted from the following townships and localities: Seymour, Yea, Tallarook, Trawool, Whiteheads Creek, Highlands, Ghin Ghin and Strath Creek.
